5) How do Hydraulic systems work?:

In liquid power, hydraulics is used for the generation, control, and transmission of power by the use of pressurized liquids.
Hydraulic topics range through some part of science and most of engineering modules, and cover concepts such as pipe flow, dam design, fluid control circuitry,pumps, turbines, hydropower, computational fluid dynamics, flow measurement, river channel behavior and erosion.

6)How do pneumatic systems work?:

A compressor consists of a piston inside a cylinder. When it receives the gas from the reservoir, the piston presses on the fuel to compress it beyond the 100 lbs. per square inch (psi) that it was originally put into the reservoir at (fpef.org). Once the piston compresses the gas enough, a door leading into the piping system opens and the fuel heads on its way to the point of power generation.


7) What are the majour differences between hydralic and pneumatic systems?:

One of the main differences between the two systems is that in pneumatics, air is compressible. In hydraulics, liquids are not.

Pneumatic Systems - These systems have two main features:
a) Pneumatic systems use compressed gas such as air or nitrogen to perform work processes.
b) Pneumatic systems are open systems, exhausting the compressed air to atmosphere after use.

Hydraulic Systems - These systems also have two main features:
a) Hydraulic systems use liquids such as oil and water to perform work processes.
b) Hydraulic systems are closed systems, recirculating the oil or water after use.
